Forensics and Cybersecurity in New Criminal Laws
The Uttar Pradesh State Institute of Forensic Science (UPSIFS) has hosted several landmark events since its inception, each events marking a significant milestone in the institution’s journey of becoming a leading global hub for policing, forensics, Legal and cyber security education. These events reflects the Institute’s vision of producing world leaders in their respective fields.

Orientation Program, 2024

A two-day orientation program was held to welcome new students and familiarize them with the institute's culture, curriculum and resources. On the first day, the program featured esteemed guests including Honorable Justices from the High Court, IAS officers, senior police officers, industry leaders and cyber experts. The second day was dedicated to each school for lectures on different topics by senior professors from Universities of India and abroad with aim to inspire and provide a comprehensive understanding of their academic path and future opportunities in the fields of Law, Technology and Forensics.

Constitution Day Celebration, 2024

The institute hosted an international conference on “The Role of Forensics and Cyber Security in Enabling Justice under New Criminal Laws” on 26th and 27th of November,2024. This event marked a significant step in promoting the understanding of the interrelation between law, forensics and cyber security in the criminal justice system.The Hon’ble Chief Minister, UP Shri Yogi Adityanath Ji, inaugurated this conference, auditorium, website, and e-library of UPSIFS. He also unveiled the official flag of the Institute and launched its newsletter, Abhyuday. During the event, the Hon’ble CM administered the oath of the Constitution’s Preamble and awarded certificates to meritorious students wishing them a bright and prosperous future. The event was enriched by the presence of distinguished dignitaries including Hon’ble Justice Rajeev Singh, Shri Manoj Kumar Singh, Chief Secretary, Uttar Pradesh; Shri Deepak Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary (Home); Shri Prashant Kumar, DGP Uttar Pradesh; Prof. Manoj Sinha, V.C. DNLU, Jabalpur who shared their insights on strengthening justice through innovation in forensics and cyber security.

These events reflect the growing prominence of UPSIFS as a leading institution in the fields of legal and forensic studies ensuring that its students are being imparted with the best exposure, education and training to serve the society.
